Gold vs Silver vs Black: Which Clock Chain Edition Fits Your Room?

Same gear, same chain, same silent movement — the only real decision is the finish. Here's an honest guide to choosing between the three, based on your walls, your room and your taste.

First, what's identical

All three editions share the same construction: a 28 cm sprocket-gear face, a genuine motorcycle-grade steel chain bringing the piece to about 95 cm tall, a silent Japanese quartz movement, and roughly 1.2 kg of weight. Delivery, returns and the 7-day policy are also identical. You are choosing a personality, not a spec sheet.

Choose Gold if…

…you want the clock to be the first thing people notice. The Gold Edition has a warm, brushed finish that catches lamplight in the evening — it reads as jewellery for the wall. It's the best seller for a reason, and it's strongest in formal spaces: drawing rooms, lounges, reception areas. Pair it against a dark or deep-coloured wall and it glows; on white it looks crisp and expensive. Avoid it only if your room already has a lot of competing gold/brass accents.

Choose Silver if…

…you want to buy once and never second-guess it. The Silver Edition's cool gunmetal tone behaves like a neutral: it works with greys, whites, woods, and nearly every modern interior. It's the edition we recommend for gifts when you don't know the recipient's décor, and the one that fits home offices best — present, but never loud. The trade-off is the flip side of versatility: it won't dominate a room the way Gold does.

Choose Black if…

…you like the machine more than the shine. The Black Edition is matte black end to end — the most honest expression of the industrial idea, and the most affordable of the three. On a white or light-grey wall its silhouette is sharp and graphic, almost like wall art. One thing to know before buying: on a dark wall it turns subtle and moody instead of bold. If your walls are dark and you want contrast, pick Gold or Silver instead.

Still torn? Three tie-breakers

  1. Photograph your wall in daylight and imagine each finish against it. The wall decides more than the clock does.
  2. Match the room's existing metals. Gold taps, brass handles → Gold. Chrome, steel appliances → Silver. Matte black fittings → Black.
  3. Buying as a gift with no information? Silver. It has never looked wrong in a room.

Whichever you choose, current prices and photos are on each product page — and if you want a finish that isn't listed, custom orders are available over WhatsApp.
