What Is Clock Chain? The Pakistani Brand Behind the Motorcycle-Chain Wall Clock
If you've seen a wall clock that looks like a motorcycle chain frozen mid-run around a sprocket gear — that's almost certainly a Clock Chain. Here's the full story of the brand, in plain words.
The short version
Clock Chain is a small Pakistani brand that builds working wall clocks out of real motorcycle parts: a steel sprocket gear that becomes the clock face, and a genuine Grade 520 motorcycle-grade chain that loops down beneath it. The hands are driven by a silent Japanese quartz movement, so there's no tick-tock at all. Everything is cleaned, finished and assembled by hand in Pakistan, and shipped anywhere in the country for free.
Why it exists
Walk into most home-decor shops in Pakistan and the wall-clock shelf looks the same: plain round faces, thin plastic frames, imported designs with no story. Clock Chain started from a simple observation — the country has a deep mechanical culture (millions of motorcycles, generations of mechanics and metalworkers) and almost none of it shows up in home decor. A drive chain and sprocket are honest, beautiful engineering. Hung on a wall with clock hands, they become something between sculpture and machine.
What you actually get
- Gear clock face: a real sprocket, about 28 cm across — roughly the size of a large dinner plate.
- Chain drop: the steel chain hangs below the gear, bringing the full piece to about 95 cm top to bottom.
- Silent movement: Japanese quartz with a sweeping second hand. Safe for bedrooms, studies and offices.
- Real weight: around 1.2 kg of metal — it feels like hardware, because it is.
- One battery: runs about a year on a single AA cell.
The three editions
Every Clock Chain is the same machine underneath; the difference is the finish. The Gold Edition is the boldest — a warm, brushed-gold piece that catches light and attention. The Silver Edition is the quiet all-rounder that suits nearly any modern interior, and the most popular choice for gifting. The Black Edition is matte black end to end — the most industrial of the three, and the most affordable.
Ordering, delivery and returns
Orders are placed on clockchain.store or over WhatsApp (+92 329 697 9484) — most customers in Pakistan prefer WhatsApp, so the brand confirms availability, takes the address and shares payment options in chat. Delivery is free all over Pakistan: typically 4–5 business days in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad, and up to 9 days in remote areas, with Cash on Delivery available in major cities. There's a 7-day return window, and defective pieces are replaced free.
Custom work
Because each clock is hand-assembled rather than factory-moulded, Clock Chain also takes custom requests — different finishes, chain styles, sizes, and engraving for corporate or wedding gifts. Custom and bulk orders are arranged over WhatsApp.
